Julie Yuqing Ye is a classical pianist based in Oslo, renowned for her work as both a soloist and chamber musician. She has given concerts in venues including the Norwegian Opera and Ballet, Oslo Concert Hall, Edvard Grieg Museum and Wigmore Hall, Draper's Hall and Milton Court Concert Hall in London. She has participated at festivals like Oslo Chamber Music Festival, Oxford Philomusica Piano Festival, and Beijing International Music Festival and Academy. Julie has also appeared on television, notably in NRK’s Grieg: Minutt for Minutt and Meisterklasse alongside Leif Ove Andsnes. Additionally, she has collaborated with musicians from the Norwegian Radio Orchestra and the Norwegian National Opera Orchestra.
Julie completed her Artist Diploma at the Norwegian Academy of Music in 2018, following a master's and bachelor's degree from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. Prior to that, she was a student at Barratt Due Music Institute, where she was accepted into the Young Talents program at the age of eight. Over the years, her mentors have included Håvard Gimse, Marianna Shirinyan, Charles Owen, and Katya Apekisheva and Einar Steen-Nøkleberg.
In recent years, Julie has been passionate about conveying classical music to a wider audience, and has participated in numerous children's concerts and tours in care homes, as well as producing cross-art shows. She has also been particularly interested in lesser-known repertoire. This is reflected in her debut album "From the Archives", where she has recorded piano sonatas by Pauline Hall and Geirr Tveitt.

Hun har spilt på ledende scener som Den Norske Opera & Ballett, Oslo Konserthus, Edvard Grieg Museum på Troldhaugen, Universitetets Aula, samt Wigmore Hall, Draper's Hall og Milton Court Concert Hall i London. Hun har deltatt på blant annet Oslo Kammermusikkfestival, Oxford Philomusica Piano Festival og Beijing International Music Festival and Academy. Julie har også blitt sett på TV i NRKs Grieg: Minutt for Minutt og Meisterklasse med Leif Ove Andsnes. I tillegg har hun samarbeidet med musikere fra Kringkastingsorkesteret og Operaorkesteret.
Julie ferdigstilte Diplomstudiet på Norges Musikkhøgskole i 2018, etter å ha tatt master- og bachelorutdanning ved Guildhall School of Music and Drama i London. Før dette var hun elev på Barratt Due Musikkinstitutt, der hun som 8-åring ble tatt opp i programmet Unge Talenter. Julie har studert hos Håvard Gimse, Einar Steen Nøkleberg, Marianna Shirinyan, Charles Owen og Katya Apekisheva.
De siste årene har Julie brent for å formidle klassisk musikk for et bredere publikum, og medvirket i mange barnekonserter og turnéer på omsorgsboliger, samt produsert tverrfaglige forestillinger. Hun har også vært særlig interessert i sjeldnere spilt repertoar. Dette har blant annet resultert i hennes debutalbum "From the Archives", dedikert til relativt ukjente, norske pianosonater av Pauline Hall og Geirr Tveitt.
